  1. 1. What is the major issue shown in the video?
    The answer :
The major issue shown in the vidio is about diskrimination.

    1. That's correct, the major issue is about discrimination to other race, and also bullying.

      Hapus
    2. That's true. As I see it, the major issue shown in the video is discrimination. At the beginning of the video we are shown two men walking in the dark at night. The two men, one is white and the other I think he is Pakistani, South Asian. Surprisingly, the Pakistani invites a fight with the white man. The white man tried to defend himself, but he fell down. The scene of stepping on white people is the closing scene, then the main title is "Divided Kingdom." Then, the following scenes tell the speech and behavior of British people who hate South Asians.

      Hapus
    3. That's right, discrimination against people from other continents

      Hapus
    4. It's true that the main thing discussed is about race or ethnicity, and also often the problems encountered in society are different from one another.

      Hapus
    5. Based on the dialogue in the video, expressions of hatred from British people towards Pakistanis include:
      1) "...Charged us three quid before we even sat down. Stupid Paki..."
      2) "You know, you can't walk down a street without seeing a fucking Paki shop or a... mosque."
      3) "Doesn't it piss you off when you see a fit girl with a Paki?"
      4) "Get the fuck out of my country."
      5) "Shut up, an' why are you with this Paki?"

Meanwhile, the British hate towards Pakistanis, which is shown a scene of pushing each other and a British person pulling a knife to injure Aryan at the end of the video.

      Hapus
    6. Its obvious that they are talking about discrimination. Its little sad that society could'nt accept different people and different background

      Hapus
    7. I agree with Ananta it's sad that society can't accept different people and different backgrounds

      Hapus

  2. 2. How is the major charactered portrait in the video?
    The answer :
The major charactered portrait in the video is he is good and calm boy, and didn't like to get
problem with another, but he get diskrimination and he is disliked by some people around him
because they think white people are racist.
    How about you guys?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. i guess so, but i think he's a little closed off with other people, maybe he's just being defensive. it was a good thing that the woman came along with him.

      Hapus
    2. I agree, where the major character is trying to live quietly in another country.

      Hapus
    3. I agree with you guys even though white kids just want to play

      Hapus
    4. Poor kid. I think races aren't identification to be a racist with some people. a person could be racist without judging their color

      Hapus
    5. In my opinion, the difference in skin color does not reflect an act, all children have the right to their own pleasure even though children sometimes depend on pressure

      Hapus
    6. Correct! In my opinion, the main character named Aryan has a closed nature. An example can be seen when he passed two women who were still in the same campus with him. Aryan just looked down and seemed to think that no one was around him. When Emily greeted Aryan, he just greeted back without smiling. Aryan also rarely speaks, and will speak if someone else invites him to speak like this:
      Emily: "Is this seat taken?"
      Aryan: "Ah... no."

      Hapus
  3. 3. On what basis is the major character judged by different groups of the community?
    The answer :
The major character judged by different groups of the community on basis skin color, religion,
    country of origin, and name.
What your opinion guys? Same as me or not?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. you are right! too bad,he was judged by his race and nationality, Pakistan.

      Hapus
    2. You're right, people are often judged based on skin color and country of origin

      Hapus
    3. I totally agree, where the difference is a bad thing for those who discriminate

      Hapus
    4. No doubts, im in same page with you guys

      Hapus
    5. I agree, indeed the main character is judged by various groups of people based on skin color, religion, country of origin, and name. The most common in real life is the difference in skin color

      Hapus
    6. From my perspective, the major character, Aryan is judged on the basis of the facial appearance of an Arab and a descendant of Indian parents.
      Quotations:
Aryan: "Calling me a Paki? My family's Indian for fuck's sakes."

Aryan is also distinguished on the basis of his name which is not commonly heard, because it sounds like the name of another religion, such as the following dialogue:
Emily Friend 2: "Aryan. Is that a Muslim name?"
Aryan: "No. It's a Hindu name."

      Hapus
  4. 4. How was the major character feel when he is treated in such a way?

Based in the video, we can see his expression, his body language, that the main character felt unsafe when they were treating him. He must be feeling sad, hurted, isolated, discriminated, and be excommunicated.

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. You're right. He felt very threatened by the discrimination there.

      Hapus
    2. you guys really feel very uncomfortable with the situation that is happening over there

      Hapus
    3. Exactly right, he felt pressured by the discrimination he got

      Hapus
    4. Totally felt discriminated and get a kicked out from a circle . Its really hurtful , if i was him i would feel pressured and sad

      Hapus
    5. This trait arises because of an excessive sense of anxiety caused by the difference factor

      Hapus
    6. Yeah, Aryan feels sad for not being treated fairly like humans in general. He is always looked down upon on the basis of his ethnicity and facial appearance, it is only natural that he always looks gloomy and lacks enthusiasm for activities. He was annoyed why the skinned people continued to misbehave with him.
      Quotations:
Aryan: "Fucking white people can't tell the difference."

      Hapus
  5. 5. What is your perception about Western societies before watching the video?

In my opinion, Western societies is a way of life in which each culture has its own peculiarities and in which people's lives are tranquil and peaceful in accordance with society's norms. Then, have a sympathetic attitude towards newcomers.

    So, what about your opinion?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. My opinion about westerners before watching the video. I think western people have a free life that is not too constrained by customs.

      Hapus
    2. Yeah not to forget that America are a country of liberal and freedom. also many western countries are the same ideology with America. Its obvious that western culture are freedom with everything ,i think

      Hapus
    3. Honestly i didn't expect too much about western society. it's like they're same to the other countries, i'm trying to say that each of countries have their own way of socialize, whether it;s about judging the outsider or the way they interact to each others.

      Hapus
    4. i think social life in the west will be very bad, but after watching this video, all that is thought is not that scary, and among the many evils there must be good in it. and I think for their daily habits not to be imitated especially for children.

      Hapus
    5. The first thought that comes to mind when talking about western society is the way they dress, which is too open and their lifestyle is socialite, but some people are also very friendly and openly accept newcomers.

      Hapus
    6. As far as I know, western society is a country that does not like the presence of black people in their country. The people are friendly, talk to the point, and it's fun to talk to other white people. However, not for black people or people with an Arab face. The white man found it strange and looked on with scornful eyes.

      Hapus
  6. 6. Has your perception changed after watching the video? Why?
    The answer :
No, my perception has not changed. Because from the video, it's like my perception of westerners.

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. From me my perception is not change because their habit is not receiver with good about me.

      Hapus
    2. No, I haven't. It turns out that my perception is still the same, western society hates people like Aryan. The behavior of low tolerance there, causes black people and countries from the Asian continent to feel isolated.

      Hapus
  7. Its not. Well i had talked with some people from other country at some online application. Western people are freedom with everything. Freedom to protest, freedom to speech they are freedom with everything they want to believe. I think this freedom have a negative impact, they believe of freedom to discriminate someone. So freedom with everything could lead society to hurt everyone too

    BalasHapus
  8. My view has not changed, it is true that some people are friendly, but it is possible that their freedom is limited, freedom in a bad sense.

    BalasHapus
