  4. Personally , both of your opinion its similar to me. In the first poin is The major issue is the differentiation of a culture can make an effect the way you appeal/treat other people or what do people believe in their rules of culture. In short how make people comfortable with your appearances but don't defy the rules/culture

  5. In my perspective, the speaker, Poliegrino Riccardi, trying to deliver and illustrate How do very different cultures can successfully coexist and get accepted next to each other. in this case, he's using Norwegian behaviour and other nationalities.

  7. As far as I'm concerned, different cultures are not a barrier for us to communicate between countries, culture shock is normal for someone who goes to another country, but the individual will get used to mingling with the culture in that country.

    1. Yes and also there is social phenomenon called "social polarization" which is a phenomenon when a social or a culture or some group of people doing their usual activites that can affect the other

      Hapus
  8. So guys what about the second point? What the culture he utilize as his major point. Well anyone same thought as me? I think its british, norwegian and italian

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. I wouldn’t say no. You right that the culture he utilize as his major point is British, Norwegian, and Italian.

      Hapus
    2. That's true. British, Norwegian, and Italian are appropriate countries as samples of Riccardi culture. The three countries are located close together, but have different ways of treating people. Speaking accents, for example, the accent of a language is seen as positive because it can enrich someone's pronunciation knowledge which makes it interesting.

      Hapus
    3. Yes, i think so the culture that the speaker uses to express his opinion is using the culture of Norway and Italian then the speaker communicates using English

      Hapus
    4. Yes, that's right. The culture he utilize as his major pint is British, Norwegian, and Italian.

      Hapus
  9. For number 2. From what i got by watching his ted talk, i can say that he was utilizing especially Norwegian culture (behaviour) and other nationalities such as Italian, UK, French, Singapore, Finland, Dutch and lil bit Indian culture.

      Hapus
    2. Singapore with their hierarchy in society.

      Hapus
    3. I completely agree, Norway became the topic of the dominant country to discuss how cultural variations between people were in the discussion.

      Hapus
    4. Well you're right, he also takes advantage of other cultures, as you said.

      Hapus
    5. And also there is unique thing such as. Like norgic : minimum words maximum message. British/italiam : maximum words minimum message. Also they have their own term of uses. Its kind a cool

  10. This lecture was delivered in a relaxed and entertaining way that discussed 3 countries' cultures, namely the USA, Italy and Norway. I think there are 3 important points contained in it: 1. the difference in how they queue which is different in each country, 2. the difference in the words they use 3. Differences in road conditions, whether in traffic jams or when the car is parked.that is fantastic and push they curiosity.

    1. Its seems right but even though your point seems not straight point. I still get you, make your point get more highlight okay!

      Hapus
    2. That's right! for the curiosity it was reminded him to the children.

      Hapus
    3. As I see it, you have three points that's already good, you focus on the keyword 'difference' which can be melted if all parties can interact well.

      Hapus
    4. I agree with your opinion about the three important things.

      Hapus
  11. for question number 3, It seems to me that the important point is.
    - accepted and familiar
    - curiosity
    - always take the best from every culture we know

    BalasHapus

    1. Actually from the way i see, i think its more than that. There is also hierarchy, ethical value, vision also how to merge a lifestyle

      Hapus
  12. Balasan
    1. Yup, Italy prefers to invite its opponents to talk with simple things when starting a conversation, not directly to complicated questions that might make it difficult for most people to continue a conversation. In addition, also with facial expressions that seem to attract people's sympathy to develop the topic of discussion.

      Hapus
  13. Okay ,then lets talk about the third point. Actually i have more than three point, cause im so excited about this. Ookkay!! Hope you understand my point.

    1. Seeing what want people to see not what we want to see

    2. Culture is a thing that are accepted and familiar in a society, like the differentiation when he use a british and italian

    3. Hierarchy and ethical stuff

    4. Curiosity , curiosity brings you to know new knowledge that you never ever know before. Even though you dont like the whole thing, but the information of a language/culture could bring you to see whats people life in a whole view..

    5. In the end ,when you know the culture inside of you and the other culture . Then you can merge in one lifestyle, it will be a global mindset that make a world go around

    4. I agree with your opinion, but I also have an opinion on that

      Hapus
    5. I'm not saying you're wrong. but in my opinion for the answer to number three is :
      1. good manners when speaking
      2. Respect other people and their culture
      3. and discipline

      Hapus
  14. Personally, my answer to point 2, which is from the short video that we watched together, the three countries discussed there (England, Norway, and Italy) are the right countries as samples of Riccardi culture. who has a person's point of view based on the way he talks

    BalasHapus
  15. I agree with what was conveyed by hikmal regarding how other people treat us differently between countries. It is true that every country has a different way of treating other people. But if we treat other people well then that person also does the same thing, In life we must respect each other.

    BalasHapus
  16. I guess for number 3, he was trying to point out these three things:

    1. What being accepted and Familiar in their own culture.
    2. Equality (in minutes 6:56)
    3. Curiosity is a must!

    BalasHapus
  17. Right, we move on to question number 3. There are several points that I got from the video discussion session.

    1. Don't immediately think badly about new foreign cultures.

    2. Continue to get used to a new culture that will further broaden our horizons in seeing the world.

    3. Start with a simple topic to invite others to discuss.

More than that, I developed it as follows:

    4. Honesty as the main key to be accepted by others.

    5. Tips must be smart in selecting a culture that is in accordance with our native nation, so don't immediately accept a culture that is odd.

    6. Don't underestimate something we have just encountered

    7. Differences cannot be avoided, but they are learned to become competent human beings to preserve culture from anywhere.

I think that's my perspective on what Riccardi wants to emphasize to all of us.

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. true, we should be more open but also have to filter back what we get from various cultures that enter across cultures

      Hapus
    2. Yes, you are also right. very complete

      Hapus
  18. In my own opinion regarding point 2 that was conveyed by the speaker. There were several countries discussed, namely Norway, Italy and England. These 3 countries are close together and are also known as Riccardi culture. However, these three cultures are different in how they treat other people.

    BalasHapus
  19. your opinion is very reasonable, but in my opinion on point 3, it emphasizes more on language style, cross culture, and also someone's point of view on something positive

    BalasHapus
  20. I agree with you regarding point number 3 we must emphasize language style, point of view and equality and curiosity. Always take good things from every culture and country that we know to be more familiar.
